HISTORY
After the discovery of Metroids on planet SR388, Galactic Federation Command deemed it imperative that a research outpost be constructed orbiting the planet. After careful consideration it was decided that the best method of building this station would be to harness a fragment of planetoid from the nearby asteroid cluster of MRT 78.9. With little to no trouble at all, the Biological Research Station was constructed. Painstaking steps were taken to carve out the planetoid's interior to house what would later be known as the Eco Pods. After successful completion, the station was then moved to an orbit closer to SR388 itself. From there, various species from the planet were brought to the station and underwent observation and experimentation.

FEATURES
The BSL consists of an interior of six research labs that were designed to hold specimens in self sustaining ecosystems. Each sector is designed to mimick those of the organism's native planets. Even extreme conditions, ranging from a planet's molten core to sub-arctic temperatures can be replicated. Sector 1 (SRX) is the housing area for the many ventalation systems of the station. Sector 2 (TRO) is where the station's electrical power housing is kept and maintained seperate from the specimens.

LIFE
Each eco system within the station is uniquly attuned to the creatures that inhabit it. Sector 3 (PYR) is an arid desert enviornment which also houses synthetically produced magma-filled caverns. Temperatures on (PYR) can easily exceed the comfortable levels of most lifeforms. Sector 4 (AQA) had been constructed to support a delicately balanced water habitat. Sector 5 (ARC) is a tundra/arctic sector, filled with organisms that thrive in sub-zero temperatures. Sector 6 (NOC) is a perfectly recreated enviornment suited towards creatures who survive in dark enviornments.
