It pairs the usual jet-driven mobility and twin Remote Attack Pods with armor designed to deflect missile-class projectile fire. The result is an aerial unit intended to continue advancing through a response that would stop lighter fliers.

Its equipment is deliberately asymmetrical. One pod maintains Particle Cannon fire while the other carries a Gel Bomb Rack, allowing the unit to threaten both a moving target and the surface or cover it is using. The heavy armor makes this pattern more difficult to interrupt, but it also establishes a different weakness profile from the beam-resistant advanced form.
