Overview
Corpius is a large crawler documented on ZDR, with a prominent Artaria chamber record and Mawkin imagery that associates the species with Ghavoran. The distinction matters. The Ghavoran material supports a native-fauna context, while the Artaria observation records an individual in a markedly different constructed setting; neither should be used to erase the other.
The organism moves without conventional walking legs, hauling its heavy body on muscular forelimbs. Eight yellow eyes, a tendril-like mouth, a turquoise front body, and a long ridged tail give it a distinctive silhouette. The tail's luminous bulb remains particularly important because it provides the clearest visible feature during the concealment state associated with an object carried within the tail.
Corpius is not adequately described as an invisible predator. The record establishes tail strikes, directed green secretion, ground-level gas, and physical use of the surrounding structure. It does not establish natural diet, reproductive biology, or whether its concealment capability is biological rather than device-dependent.
Body Plan And Concealment Evidence
The heavy forward body and powerful arms support low, deliberate crawling through an enclosed route. The long tail extends the organism's reach beyond that body mass, while the expanding lower head region precedes release of the observed green material. These are visible structural observations, not a basis for assigning an unsupported feeding method.
The concealment state is linked to the tail-carried object recovered from the Artaria record. Its relationship to the Phantom Cloak is operationally significant, but the archive should not convert that association into a claim that Corpius evolved a natural optical system. The persistent tail bulb is the strongest field marker once the larger body is visually suppressed.
ZDR Context And Assessment
Ghavoran imagery showing Chozo Soldier personnel with Corpius establishes that the species had a prior relationship with Mawkin activity before the Artaria record. The later chamber evidence should therefore be interpreted as relocation, containment, or opportunistic occupation only where specific evidence supports it, not as proof of artificial creation.
The Artaria setting also includes structural surfaces compatible with the Spider Magnet system and later observations of Goliath. Those records help describe the environment around Corpius without implying that all local organisms share one origin or condition.
