Cyclops X is the retained display label for an X-mimicked Zazabi form encountered in Sector 2 (TRO) of the Biologic Space Laboratories station. The label does not identify a distinct native Cyclops species. The observed body belongs to the Zazabi host context: a tall, segmented, one-eyed creature held in tropical containment before an outbreak of the X altered the specimen.

This distinction changes the whole record. The body is transparent enough to reveal purple internal structures, with spikes along each segment, five sensory appendages on its upper surface, one large eye, and a mouth on the underside. Eight teeth assist both locomotion and capture. It is not a forest mimic from another world, and it should not inherit unsupported habitat, feeding, or developmental claims from a fabricated Cyclops baseline.

The subject matters because it demonstrates how an X infection can preserve a recognizable host form while changing the containment problem. A nearby release of Core-X confirms that the visible giant is a mimic phase rather than a stable, recoverable Zazabi specimen. The BSL record must therefore track host morphology, facility location, and X persistence together.

Zazabi Host Form

The underlying Zazabi form is tall and segmented, with a transparent upright body that leaves internal purple structures visible. Each segment bears side spikes, while the upper portion carries five sensory appendages and one large purple eye. Those traits are concrete visual markers for an identification made under containment conditions; they are more useful than a broad statement that the form is plantlike or monster-like.

The mouth sits beneath the body. Its eight teeth are used for both movement and consumption, allowing the creature to approach from above after a leap and expand the mouth around a smaller subject. This structure creates a clear vulnerability and response pattern without requiring an invented ecology. The body becomes shorter as segments collapse under sufficient damage, an observed structural change rather than a normal growth or life-cycle stage.

Sector 2 (TRO) is the tropical containment sector of the BSL station, a humid environment holding diverse organisms and vegetation. A Zazabi specimen was present there before the X outbreak. This facility context is specific: it does not establish that the host evolved in tropical BSL conditions, nor does it assign a confirmed original world to the animal.

The location also provides the operational conditions for the incident. A tall body, deep chamber geometry, enclosed routes, and a containment failure can combine into a serious vertical hazard. The archive should connect Cyclops X to the BSL setting first, then use the separate High Jump Boots and Spring Ball technical records only where those recovered system capabilities are being traced through the facility response.

X-Mimic Behavior

The visible form leaps, opens its underside mouth, and descends slowly around a nearby body in an enclosing capture movement. The threat is therefore vertical as well as frontal: a team looking only at the central eye or side spikes can miss the mouth expanding directly beneath the descending segments. When the body is struck while the mouth is open, damage accumulates through segment collapse.

This behavior belongs to an X-mimicked host form. It should not be treated as proof that a natural Zazabi population exists on the BSL station or that every Zazabi specimen expresses the same infection state. The X context is the reason the encounter persists beyond the visible body, and the release of a Core-X is the transition that confirms the need for continued quarantine.

Classification Boundaries

The archive keeps the Cyclops X display label so existing navigation remains stable, but the classification is now explicit: it refers to an X-mimicked Zazabi specimen in BSL Sector 2. It is not a Kreet organism, not an SR388 native, and not evidence for a separate Cyclops reproductive cycle. Removing those false associations gives the record a reliable subject rather than a name attached to unrelated biology.

Further work should compare preserved BSL imagery with uninfected Zazabi morphology, identify any surviving containment notes, and document the transition from host form to Core-X under quarantine controls.
