Overview

The Moto is a large horned organism native to SR388, compared in the old source to a rhinoceros analogue but shaped by cave ecology rather than open plains. It has three horns, little intelligence, and a short temper. Its large eyes give it better vision than many SR388 inhabitants, but that advantage is paired with poor judgment and an extreme charge response.

The species is important because its front body is nearly a living battering ram. A solid bone structure surrounds the face, with horns projecting from the top and a small mouth set underneath. The animal kills by impact, impalement, or shock, then scrapes prey from the horns on the ground before feeding with the low-set mouth.

The Moto is also prey. The old source identifies the Drivel as its deadliest predator, capable of lifting the animal and breaking the protected head against cave formations. Zeta and Gamma Metroid forms may also attack sleeping individuals. Thus the Moto is both a dangerous charger and a vulnerable resource in SR388's larger predator network.
