The Vi-O-La IC Unit is not an alternate rider suit. It is a modular assembly fitted over the base Vi-O-La Suit, using its existing registration, control, and life-support relationship as the host system. The distinction matters: removing the unit leaves the underlying suit and rider authorization intact, but removes the specialized thermal and hover functions.

Its hardware appears to combine heat-tolerant shielding, crystal-mediated control logic, and a vehicle command relay. Those parts do not make the wearer a different operator. They translate a recognized rider signal into the instructions a linked Vi-O-La needs to enter IC mode when terrain becomes too hot or fluid for wheel contact.

That arrangement makes the unit an expansion with two linked effects: it reduces the rider's exposure to molten environments and changes the vehicle's locomotion state. The base suit remains the identity and access layer; the IC Unit is the environmental and mode-conversion layer.

Operational Profile

IC operation begins with the standard Vi-O-La rider relationship already established. When the vehicle approaches magma, lava, or another surface that defeats tire traction, the unit passes its thermal and mode command through the linked suit interface. The vehicle then shifts into a hover configuration instead of attempting ordinary ground travel.
