The archive uses the Shrike name to separate this strike role from the armored transport role of the Anvil carrier family. Its purpose is not to place a garrison on the ground; it is to make a route, structure, or defended position briefly untenable.

Speed is the craft's primary protection. A skiff that can choose its angle of attack can pressure a support tower, dock, bridge, or exposed vehicle before a slower defender has stabilized a response. That same concentration on movement means the Shrike cannot be read as a small warship. It needs room to approach, room to turn, and a clear route away from the site it has disturbed.

The platform is most dangerous in complex terrain where a single fast pass can trigger a larger failure: a damaged support fails, a landing lane closes, or a defender is pulled away from an incoming carrier.
