The Light Beam is a Luminoth photonic weapon created as a deliberate answer to dark-aspected life, matter, and machinery. Where the Dark Beam attempted to package enemy-field behavior into a usable weapon, the Light Beam uses opposition: coherent radiant heat, tuned frequency, and stored light cells shaped into a beam that dark systems cannot easily ignore.
The weapon is visually cleaner than many thermal armaments. A fired shot produces a bright, focused discharge with a sharp bloom at the muzzle and a hot contact flare on impact. Against ordinary matter it behaves like a cutting energy beam; against dark-aspected matter, the frequency match makes the discharge more disruptive, driving heat and instability into tissue or structure that would resist conventional fire.
The Light Beam's second identity is architectural. Luminoth receivers, beacons, transit systems, and damaged light-aligned locks can read its charged pulse as both power and authorization. These interactions should feel engineered rather than mystical: the receiver reads frequency, intensity, and pulse shape as a valid command.

Clean thermal scoring suggests a stable beam path; scattered glare or darkened residue suggests particulate absorption, dark matter haze, or poor receiver alignment.
