In an engineered room, that makes the environment part of the encounter: doors, support hardware, and operational controls may no longer respond as expected.

The unit should not be described as ordinary fauna. Its behavior follows the logic of a damaged security platform: locate a usable route, preserve the core, and exploit interfaces that extend its influence beyond the body. The site matters because Rezbit is more dangerous where the local mechanism network is dense and less significant where no compatible system is within reach.

Its limit is therefore also its containment point. Isolated equipment and severed interface pathways reduce the practical value of the transmitted code. A team that treats the drone as only a flying target can leave the surrounding system available for the unit to use against them.

Machine Disruption And Control Core

The corrupted control core and interface hardware should be assessed before any attempt to restore local equipment. A light, sound, or movement response from a nearby system may be evidence of remote interference rather than a normal facility function. Preserve access logs and physical link condition where possible; those details reveal which parts of the site were actually reachable.

The body’s aerial mobility supports this role by allowing the drone to shift between interfaces and avoid ground-level obstructions. The Light Flyer record offers a close security comparison. Both are damaged Luminoth constructs, but the Light Flyer controls a visible patrol volume whereas Rezbit makes the surrounding machinery itself unreliable. That distinction is crucial to safe response.

Operational Consequence

Isolate the local system before engaging the unit whenever conditions allow. A controlled shutdown, physical disconnect, or alternate manual route can remove the machinery that turns Rezbit from a single hostile chassis into a wider facility problem.
