The Botwoon is a long serpentine predator recorded from Zebes. Old source material treats the known specimen as possibly the last of its species, making the record both ecological and conservation-relevant. DSI preserves that concern without assuming the full population history is settled.

The organism is built around burrow use, armored movement, and chemical weakening of prey. It does not need to expose its entire body to attack. By remaining partly hidden, it can bite, withdraw, and release capsules while protecting most of its length.
